Resurrected and Reunited (Harry Potter)
James and Lily Potter have been dead for 12 years, both falling victim to the killing curse by the hand of the darkest wizard of all time. Their son, Harry, remains the only wizard known to have survived the killing curse. Having grown up with his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin, he never felt like he truly had a home until he went to Hogwarts. One night, however, in the middle of Harry's third year at Hogwarts, the impossible happens. His parents awaken in their coffins. They manage to dig themselves out of their graves, and decide to find out what happened to their son. Is he alive? Is he dead? They have no idea. They find out he is alive, due to the plaque outside their house, which has remained untouched since the night they died. Once they figure out what date it is, they seek out Dumbledore, as they believe he will lead them to their son. How will Harry react to finally having his parents back? What will he do? On that fateful night in October 1981 Regulus Black saves James Potter, but wasn't fast enough to save Lily too. After James gets over the shock of seeing his assumed dead ex-boyfriend he buried Lily, then with the promise that Regulus will explain everything later, they grab Harry and run to a Black family home in France. It's there that they live and raise Harry in secret under the fidelius charm where Regulus himself is the secret keeper. The entire world thinks that they are dead, the only people who know the truth are none other than the Malfoys. When it's time for Harry to go to Hogwarts the wizarding world is shocked to see the boy alive, but even more so when The Boy Who Lived is sorted into Slytherin.
