In as much as we deal with the norms of nature, we get stock in dealing with reality. Honestly, i get skeptical when i am tossed with hearing the truth and living with not knowing what it is. If the truth is sour why hearing it when you can live with deceit which will probably not hurt in as much you do not request for the truth. The realist cuts across accepting what nature gives you and dealing with it accordingly.
