In overwhelming numbers, they have already pushed the Planetary Defence Force out of a third of the planets landmass, with little support available and only a single damaged beacon to attempt to contact support, can these guards hold the line, long enough for their relief? Or will the green tide sweep across the planet, destroying all in it's wake?

[Sequel to 'Aquila'] Following the routing of the Chaos Marine Hepharion and his warband on the planet of Pelamon, Caius and the Ultramarines of the 20th Tactical Squad make a hasty dash for the outpost world of Alamarri VIII in an attempt to save their brothers of the Imperial Fist who have been fortifying the world under mysterious orders from the Adeptus Administratum and the Adeptus Mechanicus. By the year 2015 humans have developed practical means of interstellar travel, but as they expand further out into the Milky Way, they disturb a previously unknown race of alien beings. Very shortly after the USAs United National Space Command [UNSC] discovers their exsitence, the aliens, known as Ecarians, send several scouting parties out to find the humans planet. One of the scouting parties lands outside of Des Plaines, Illinois which has a heavy population of supernaturals. One of them, a Sergeant from the local SWAT team by the name of Zuton Cruton, befriends one of the aliens, Zorra. She convinces the leader of their squad, Will, who is also the Deputy of the aliens, to ask to call off the attack. He aggrees, but his request is harshly denied and he and several other aliens defect to the humans side just in time for the invasion by the Ecarian Space Navy [ESN] of Earth...
