Lucy has been bullied and abused for years. She's bullied because she's rich and they think things are easier for her. She is abused because she 'killed' her mother and then she looks a lot like her. She thinks it's her fault her mom died in a car crash. Natsu and her other friends don't know. She wears a mask to keep anyone from knowing. To keep from slipping and telling people she doesn't talk.
