Azusa Nakano (also known as Grace Williams) was born a child prodigy. She could play instruments with ease and she didn't need to learn how. After a few years of playing music, she realized something frightening. Most of the people she played music to dies. They die during their birthday for some reason. The two deaths who had the most impact to her were her best friend's and brother's deaths. Naturally, she wouldn't play music anymore. What if talent scouts who come during her high school years? What if they want her to play again?

Ezra and Azora's fathers' have been best friends since they were young so the Huxley and Reids decide to spend time together at a fancy hotel for a week before college. Its only a week, they can survive. But its much worse when both find out they go to the same college. Over the one week they spend, they decide to forget all about their rivalry history and get along, and when they find eachother in college, they decide to be friends, but they can't seem to let go of competing against eachother.
