Mocha and Yukari, twin girls, both share their earliest memory of a stormy night in winter where Yukari was attacked by a Vampire...then saved by another. Now, ten years later, Mocha and Yukari are the adopted daughters of the headmaster of Cross Academy, Kaien Cross and are the guardians of the Vampire race.
Yukari protects the guy she loves, Kaname Kuran, from discovery as he leads a group of Vampire Aristocrats at the elite boarding school.
Mocha, unlike her younger twin, hates Vampires after she watched her younger twin almost be eaten by one. Her best friend, Zero Kiryu, shares her opinion and hates that her younger sister feels that way about a Vampire. But secretly, she's fallen for a Night Class student as well.
The coexisting arrangement at Cross Academy seems all well and good, but have the Vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions? Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. And the price of misplaced trust may even be worse than death.
