Madelin Anderson lives in an reality where the government is anti-vampire and the economy is built off vampire hunting. Like any respectable girl, she heads off to VHTI, the Vampire Hunter Training Institute, to learn how to track down vampires. She thrives in the competitive community where her skills help her excel, until four girls in the next dorm room over are attacked by a vampire. In the following days, Madelin uncovers several secrets that nearly destroy all she had known about herself, her family, and the unstable government.
