“Sarah promise me you’ll come back here tomorrow.” There was no question in his voice. He wasn’t asking her but telling her to come back.
She nodded. “Ok.”
He nodded. “Good.” Then he let her go. “If you must leave me for tonight then leave before I kiss you and then can’t let you.”
But Elena didn’t want to. She wanted to stay with James. Every inch of her body screamed for her to stay in this world with James and forget about everything else. “I’ll be back tomorrow at midnight,” she finally said.
James nodded again. “Ok.”
She moved to leave but James pulled her back to him. “I lied.” Then his lips met hers.
