When she turns 16, her friends take her out to a club to celebrate her dancing talent. When Celia is dancing she meets Andy Rogers, a 22 year old. Quickly, her friends disapprove of Andy but her motto, "normal is boring" convinces her friends to lay off for a while. Once her friends get tired hey leave and Celia dances until she wears out too. She allows Andy to drive her home but she is too tired to realize he is not taking her home. Who knows how much longer later Celia wakes up in a locked room with a table holding only a glass of water and a note. The note reads "See you on the other side." But while panicking she notices on the back of the note it says "375".

Her parents are Catholic, so they see her normal teen behavior as acting out beyond reason and continuously look for somewhere she can be 'fixed'. Her therapist suggested a place that looked like camp. Two strangers come get her in the middle of the night and bring her to the worst place she has ever been to in her life. When she comes back to live with her best friend, she is nothing like she was when she left, but he promised he'd wait for her.
