Love is a difficult thing. Sometimes, it works out, in other circumstances, it doesn’t. But Alaska Owens has the opportunity to see the only woman he’s ever really loved after five years. He’ll do almost anything to amend for his wrong doings to have her affection once again and Penny Rogers has sure grown up since she was eighteen years old. Working as the head of a publishing agency and as a baby sitter after walking away from her hometown has changed her for what she hopes to be the better. When the number one item on her list of “Things To Never Think About” reenters her life, she’s having episodes of self-doubt: should she fight tooth and nail to keep him away or let him in? With a wedding, two children, a snarky neighbor and a city of new hopes, anything can happen.
