The Romanoski family has been in hiding for as long as Lena can remember. After the wealthy family fled from Russia in 1917, they were forced to hide out in Poland until the Bolshevik Revolution died down. However, things became much more complicated once Germany did the unthinkable: they attacked and conquered the Polish people. Now cornered between two enemies, the Romanoski family must work together to stay alive. But when an uninvited and potentially dangerous guest enters into the picture, they are forced to make a choice. To help the unwanted or suffer the consequences. (Some chapters may be graphic for younger children. Viewer Discretion is Advised.)
