The Romanoski family has been in hiding for as long as Lena can remember. After the wealthy family fled from Russia in 1917, they were forced to hide out in Poland until the Bolshevik Revolution died down. However, things became much more complicated once Germany did the unthinkable: they attacked and conquered the Polish people. Now cornered between two enemies, the Romanoski family must work together to stay alive. But when an uninvited and potentially dangerous guest enters into the picture, they are forced to make a choice. To help the unwanted or suffer the consequences. (Some chapters may be graphic for younger children. Viewer Discretion is Advised.) Chapter 11 Expected Release Date: January 12 So sorry for the delay. I actually just got back from Chicago and I didn't have time to write! All Chapters undergo a writing and an editing process so I apologize for the wait.

It's 1917. You are a medic in the war, crawling through no man's land to save your fellow soldiers. You are captured during you rendezvous by a German field medic -- a dark haired man who's pointing a Mauser at you and bleeding out. You must save him, you have no choice. You commit treachery -- you fall in love with him, even when you don't speak the same language. - There is a lot of German in the fic, and I do NOT expect you to understand any of it. That's the point, the reader canonically cannot understand German. You aren't expected to translate everything (but you can if you want to, I might have slipped in a few jokes.) Tactically translated German (Aka Maxis translating) is in bolded sentences.
