Sophia Turner and her brother, Matt, are in an abusive family. their mom tries to help, but beats them when their dad is around, because hes abusive and wil beat anyone who refuses to help. the kids want to escape, but with only a couple hours every day, their mom cant just let them free, because he'll kill her. she tries to  take care of them, but they just sit in the basement all day. they've never seen the sun, they've never had a bed, just a ratty couch. they only have one set ofclothes each, sophia an old nightgown, and matt a large shirt and a pair of pants. theyve never had a haircut or anything normal kids would have. can they escape the abusive life they find normal?
