"Hey Jake?" I asked quietly.
"Yeah?" he replied.
"I think-" I paused and took a deep breath. "I think I'm in love with you."
Silence was my only reply. I looked over to see if I could tell how he was feeling about this, but his face was as blank as a new canvas. I looked away from him, not wanting to see the hate and disgust that was sure to be on his face in a few moments once he realized what I had said. The thought of him hating me was too much and I could feel the sting of tears at the back of my eyes. I let out a shaky breath and asked the one thing that, depending on the answer, could literally make or break me.
"Do you hate me now?"

So when Jake confronts him and asks what's going on with him, what will he do? Will he lie about it and blame it on stress or tell Jake the truth about his feelings,knowing it can lead nowhere when his best friend is totally straight... Or is he?
