Gracie and Jasmine are a lesbian couple that live in a suburban river house in Pasadena, California.
They have 5 children, Cloe, Kylie, Stella, Maddie, and Barack (Bark). All of their lives (with the exception of Bark) revolve around dance. Their daughter's are homeschooled, thus allowing them to spend 9 hours a day, solely dancing. Each chapter is told from each of their perspectives (again, with the exception of Bark).
