The year is 2038, the world is a very different place than what it used to be. For months, the world has been plagued by natural disasters. This has resulted in a mass extinction of every creature living on the Earth. The human race has been cut down in size, only ¼ of the original population now remain. In this world, life, or perhaps more fittingly, survival is a struggle. Food is scarce, fresh water is hard to find, stores are looted. It is truly the survival of the fittest. Meredith, a sixteen year old girl, her mother and younger brother Eric live in the ruins of New York City. Meredith wants her brother to have a good life, even amongst this turmoil, but things are not as simple as they seem. Eric suddenly starts acting strange. He is not his usual happy, playful self. She comes to realize the world isnt as unforgiving and cold as it seems. She's saved by a native who dislikes humans as much as the next guy but shes intent on sticking by his side in order to survive. The only issue being is the last thing he wants is a pathetic, weak human girl following him around. (Limited time only read!) We're supposed to be proud of the human race, yet... humans are self-destructive. A group of elite alien race came to Earth and proved once and for all that we were our own worst enemy.
