Cara Williams has always been, well, unlucky, to put it lightly. Her parents divorced when she was only 5 years old, after her father failed to pay off his debt he was already in when her mom and him married. Cara has also never been the "popular" type, burying her nose into books instead of drama. Despite being very athletic, nobody pays any attention to her at school, and frankly, not at home either. With your mom working night shifts and always being hungover, how are you expected to get any attention? To fulfill her extra time, Cara has turned to training her mini pony Oreo, the only possession she has left from her dad, and the only one who seems to care. One day, while fetching the mail, Cara finds an old envelope in her mailbox addressed to her. Inside, she finds a letter written by someone who seems to have their own share of problems. The writer remains anonymous, but gives Cara something to think about. Who is the writer, and will Cara ever know? Or will she only wonder?

**WATTPAD & INKITT ARE MY ONLY PUBLISHING PLATFORMS. IF YOU SEE MY BOOKS ANYWHERE ELSE, PLEASE REPORT THEM!!** A 19 year old woman went through her teen years not in the easiest way. A few days after her 18th birthday, she found out she was pregnant, not to mention the father had no longer been in the picture. She finds herself on her own as her family disagreed with her choices of keeping the baby and disowned her, leaving her on the streets to fend for herself. She gets by the next 9 months with the last of her cash she built up over the past few years in motels, shelters and food banks up until the day she gave birth to her beautiful baby girl. Knowing she wasn't able to provide for her child, she tried multiple adoption centres, baby units, care centres but found herself refusing every one. A 20 year old man lived his life care free, drinking with his friends, providing for himself with a well paid job and strolling through life like a walk in the park. But one thing he didn't plan for is opening his door in the morning to wails and screams coming from a carrier with a simple note saying "She's yours."
