Logan Bryce's father had never been part of her life. But after her mother and sister are killed in a tragic car accident in Chicago, she's forced to move in with her absent father and his new family in California. All Logan wants is for life to return to normal. After befriending a wild, bright boy called Tide, she's warned by her new step-mother and her father that Tide may not be the best person to become close to, due to his dark past and dangerous brother. Her fight to regain control of her life is only made more difficult by the conflict that Tide brings along with him, and Logan has to decide if maybe the best way to return her life to normalcy would be to leave Tide in the dust- that is, until she becomes so involved with Tide that her own emotions drive her to the point of an emotional break down.
