"No! Anything but that please, she'll wake up soon" her mother cried
"Yeah, the world needs her talent, without her I'd be a broke ass bum on the corner of the street!" her manager followed after
"Doctor look!" the nurse yelled
"Oh my goodness, Ms.Rose you're awake!" Dr.Johnson exclaimed
"Who's Ms.Rose, Who are you, Who am I?....

I gasped for breath as I jolted and sat up in bed. My t-shirt was drenched with sweat. I wiped the back of my hand against my forehead as I checked the table clock. 4:30 am, it read. I buried my head in my hands as tears rolled down my cheeks. I couldn't live this failure of a life any more. It had to end.. On the outside, Melissa Crawford looked like everyone else, an absolutely normal girl. But was she? Having lost her father in a car accident, with a below average performance at school and having just given away her own baby at the age of 16, she surely wasn't okay. The demons of depression ate away at her soul, day and night. Living like a robot, she felt trapped inside her own body. Her mind controlled her. She struggled to find a way out. But was she successful? Did she manage to escape in time? This is the story of a girl, depressed and in the dire need of help. Can she escape the tricks her own mind is playing on her? Can she save herself? Or will she give up? Read on to know more. NOTE: if anyone is suffering from problems similar to the protagonist of this story, please do talk to someone about it who will be there for you through thick and thin. Though this story might in a way help you find your way too, I strongly suggest you seek medical help if you or anyone you know shows suicidal tendencies. I just need all of you to know that everyone is special in their own way. Love yourself. Love your surroundings. There is so much to look forward to in life. Be happy :-) Highest rank: #269 in short story

~some things you just can't speak about.~ // hazel eloise finley's old english and frankly quite pretentious name was never released to public whenever she survived the shooting at her high school. not even after the paramedics took her away with a severe bullet wound to the calf or even whenever she drug and hopped herself outside for medical attention afterwards either. only known as the jane doe that survived a school shooting, and the years of physical therapy, permanent nerve damage and chronic pain proved to be the least of her worries. it took years of therapy, hospitalizations, and prescriptions for her to even feel ready to start college after high school. and whenever she did, much like her name, she was determined to bury it. despite the trauma she went on to become one of the most gifted music majors enrolled at the prestigious university in Nashville, TN, an honors student, a residential advisor, and slowly making her way to the student council someday. Though just coming into her sophomore year, a heavily tattooed literature major transfers into the room across from hers that throws everything off track. Julien Rose Baker infuriated her at first, not only because her friends and roommates were loud and obnoxious and stayed up all hours of the night playing loud music and probably doing anything but studying, but because she was better than her, in every sense of the word. sight reading music without missing a beat or a note, shredding her guitar in nearly every practice room, leaving most professors in awe of her vocal range, and not to mention the writings of hers read during some of the english classes the two shared. it was jealousy at its finest. though whenever an unexpected turn of events leaves hazel almost having no choice but to be vulnerable, something else besides avoiding her dorm neighbor might turn into something else. ~ TW for gun violence, ptsd, anxiety, depression, etc...

Romeo sat patiently, holding onto Specs' hand tightly. He watched the doctor's every step, nervousness set on his heart. "Hey, Doc", Specs greeted, trying to offer a smile. He looked better than Hell. "What'd you find?" Romeo wasn't sure Specs could see it, noting he couldn't see anything without his glasses on-he talked about having a headache earlier, and took them off for that reason-but the doctor had a rather solemn look on her face, as if she just learned that someone was going to die. Romeo prayed. "Doc?" "You're results came back", she sighed, keeping it brief. Romeo wanted to yell at her, telling her how he knew the results came back, but he was on the edge of his seat in fear. "I have some news." "What's he got?" Romeo sniffled, trying to keep in his tears and not think of the worse. "Pneumonia?" Specs had had pneumonia before, when he was a kid. He told the story all the time, and Romeo knew it made him feel strong. He'd always say he could beat anything, but Romeo also knew it wasn't that simple. "A few respiratory infections, yes", the doctor agreed, glancing back at her chart. That was fine. Specs could take antibiotics for it and be good as new. "But there's something else. Your white blood cell count was low." Romeo glanced at Specs, worried out of his mind. He knew it. He saw every sign and didn't do shit about it; it's his fault. He should've forced Specs to get checked out. He should've done better. "Cancer?" That seemed to be the worse option. Yet, the doctor shook her head. "Worse, perhaps." What could be fucking worse than cancer? ------------------------ A Spromeo story set in the 1980s Themes of: -Drinking/Drugs -Hospitals -Swearing/Cussing -Mentions of sex and STDs -Homosexuality -Death Please read at your own discretion.

[COMPLETED] "I see you've become brave" He chuckles, his eyes dark. "I didn't have a choice," I say without a hint of emotion in my voice. His eyes stay still at me when after a certain point I look away for a moment as the situation was getting too intense. Our silent breathing filled the room as he stood there holding me to the door, his fingers digging deep in my skin. Hard but not enough to hurt. "You have to tell me what goes on in your mind when it comes to me. Why do you keep hurting me?" I look him in the eyes, questioning. He leans in making me doubt what he intended to do as I turn my head looking to my left. His forehead softly touches my temple and rests against it. For some reason, it calmed me down. I stand there not moving a bone, too scared perhaps. Slowly, he takes a few strands of hair tucking it behind my ear. I hear him take a deep breath, and slowly exhale through his mouth parting his lips. His warm breath made my skin moist as he slowly he leans further down to my ear and he touches it softly with his lips sending shivers down my body. "Trust me, you don't wanna know what goes on in my mind when it comes to you." //Grace Evans is the childhood friend of Harry Styles, a member of the world-famous band 'Affinity'. But things go haywire as Grace enters the world of Harry, getting hurt and feeling perplexed by the changed vision. But what caused her to get involved in things she never thought she would and get into a world she absolutely despised? What made her do things against her morals? How does becoming a part of 'Affinity' turn her world upside down? More importantly, will they survive the storm together?
