Seventeen - year - old Bay Livingston lived the life of a normal teenager. She had a best friend named Lilah, and the most she did was break curfew for some party. But then one thing changed all of that. And now six months later, Bay still isn't the same person. Her parents see this, and push her to take a summer long road trip. With her neighbor, Dalton Rothwell. With a whole summer in front of the two of them, anything can happen and at the same time everything could go terribly wrong.

Carly, however hates Mason's playboy ways and tries to change him but fails because of Mason's non-belief in real relationships and love. Carly's days of just worrying about school are gone. Her life has started revolving between relationships, feelings, love, hatred, old crushes, her past and even death. Will Carly succeed in changing Mason's point of view or will it be too late when he realizes it himself?
