Seventeen year old Sayuri Matsuo gave up being a high school detective when her child hood friend Suziko Wantnabe was murdered during one of her cases. She refuses to solve another case that is until her other childhood friend Yurika Miyamoto begs for her help. Sayuri becomes intrigued with the case and decides to help solve it but when she arrives at the Miyamoto Manor with her four other best friends Yuki, James, Hanako, and Hajime things get interesting when the family believes that the murder was actually committed by one Yurika's dead ancestors Yuka Miyamoto who committed suicide and drowned in the lake. The victim was drowned in same lake. Which is how the lake got its name which is known as Lake Sorrow......
