"Um... Are you okay? You look lonely." I said, finally addressing him. 

He shook his head, opening his mouth as if to say something before closing it sadly. Then, he pulled a notebook out of his bag, in which he started scrawling with a biro. On the page he showed me, it said:

"You can sit here but I'm not going to talk to you. Sorry."

I frowned, trying to work out this strange boy. Eventually, I shrugged and sat next to him anyway.

"So, what's your name?"
