Caitlyn Morgan is sixteen, has anorexia, and has been diagnosed with depression. She's tried to kill herself twice because she isn't "perfect" enough. When her mother makes her visit a therapist, he rapes her, and threatens her life. Not caring about her own life, but for the sake of others, she told the police and her mother about the incident. It's too late though, for Dr. Pearce's son.

Alexander is seventeen, has bulimia, and has been diagnosed with depression. He has been raped and tortured by his father his whole life, and doesn't know any other life. He is also Dr. Pearce's son.

Caitlyn, being the kind person she is, tries to help poor Alexander get over his fathers imprisonment. But Alexander hates Caitlyn, because without her, his father wouldn't be in federal prison.

Over time, they become friends. But then something happens. And the "perfect" killer takes its revenge.

Being alone? Check. Being afraid? Check. Being abused? Check times 3. Honestly, my life wasn't this bad before, not until I ended in foster care... SIKE! My life was always bad. From the moment I was born, I lived with an abusive father who blamed me for my mother's death, and even I couldn't disagree with him. Here are a few questions I am constantly asked: 'Do I do well in school?' No, are you kidding me? The only subject I'm good at is Visual Arts. 'Do I have a kind and caring family?' No, I don't think I do. 'Do I have anyone who cares about me?' No, I'm a loner and socially awkward. 'Do I have privileges?' No, if you haven't understood the message yet, I live in an abusive household. Now, you might ask if there are any questions the answer is yes. I'll give you some. 'Do I want to die?' Yes, I sometimes do. 'Do I feel alone in this world?' Yes, always. 'Do I get a beating every day?' Yes. *** This is Amara Williams, a 13 year-old with average grades and no friends. What happens when her only guardian, her dad, is dead? What happens when she finds out that she has five older brothers who are not only strict and demanding, but also protective assholes? More importantly, what happens when she finds out that she was taught lies from the moment she was born? Follow Amara as she digs deeper into her family history, uncovering the secrets and discovering the lies. ___ ⚠️ Trigger Warning ⚠️ There will be mentions of abuse, r@pe, self harm, death, and many other dark themes. When 18-year-old Emma Dawson was raped after her junior year in high school, her entire world fell apart. Especially when her egocentric father didn't believe a word she said. Her step-brother then gave her an ultimatum, one she couldn't turn down. Luckily for her, she didn't have to live through the torture for a long period of time. But now, since her therapist is forcing her to live with her father for the summer, she has no choice. Live with her stepbrother, allow him to do whatever he wants to her, whenever he wants, or be forced to watch her eight year old sister go through the same torment. Forced to keep her mouth shut, forced to be raped without any control, she decides to stay silent, to never speak to her family, anyone. Until she runs into one of her old friends, Aiden Carter, a loyal, athletic overachiever. Then, she starts to remember her old world, the world that was taken away from her. When she faces her past, her secrets fall apart. She has to let go of the fear, listen to her own voice that has been telling her to break open from the beginning. And if she doesn't, she knows she'll risk losing the one person who is most important to her: Herself.
