The Breeding Program

Fate is not always kind. If anything, Alexa Carven had learned that fate could be cruel. Destiny was not always so lovely either. It did not always mean heroic acts that save lives, or finding your life in someone that completes your soul. Sometimes it meant that the world had ended, but as dear fate had decided some, like Alexa Carven, had survived. Sometimes it was fate that lead to new governments being born from ashes, and new programs formed to ensure survival. And one day, people would wake up and realize that their destiny was to begin and end in one of these programs.
