One year ago, there was a party. My best friend died that night.

The police never found her killer. My memory wiped clean. Each night I have dreams of her, she blames me for her death. My nights are spent sleepless, desperate for answers about that night.

A new boy moves into her house next door. This boy is nice and seems to ease the terrible dreams at night.

A town with no history. A girl with no name. An end with no beginning. My oldest memory of this place was blurry. It faded in and out of my dreams and subconscious. The details edges had been rubbed smooth long ago, but the feeling of complete and absolute terror had remained as distinguishable as the day it happened. fifteen or so years back... That fear has always kept me grounded to the forest that isolated me from the rest of the world. It kept me safe from whatever I had to run away from.
