Azalea Adams is a nice girl that no one notices. Every day she looks forward to school. School is an escape. An escape from the beatings and from her dad and step-mom telling her how much they hate her and how much she disappoints them every day. She sometimes even pretends that none of its real, that when she walks in the doors of the school she's a different person, with a different life. Most would probably describe her as pretty with her dark brown wavy hair and her emerald green eyes, but she hides all that. She's quiet and she keeps her head down. She doesn't talk to anyone, as instructed by her parents, and she flies under the radar. She didn't even think anyone knew her name. That is until Owen Sanders bumps into her in the hallway. 
        
          Owen is the schools dream guy. All the girls want to date him and all the guys want to be him. He's the star quarterback, tall, lean, a couple of tattoos here and there, and he's known to be the biggest player the town of Jacksonville has ever seen. With his cold blue/gray eyes and his jet black, short, slightly curly hair, girls don't even care that all he has in mind is sex with no strings attached. If he's talking to a girl he's either related to her or he's about to have sex with her, there's no third option. That is until he bumps into Azalea Adams.
        
           Will Azalea finally open up and let someone in or will she push Owen away in fear that he's just using her like everyone else in her life has?
        
           Will Owen be able to overcome the demons of his past and protect the only girl he's ever truly loved or will he go back to his old ways when fighting becomes too hard?
