definition: insensitivity to pain, especially as artificially induced by the administration of gases or the injection of drugs before surgical operations.

3 types of anesthesia-

1. General anesthesia produces a loss of sensation throughout the entire body.
2. Regional anesthesia produces a loss of sensation to a specific region of the body.
3. Local anesthesia produces a loss of sensation to a small specific area of the body.

I think of anesthesia as a freedom from pain. I love it, makes me forget about everything and not feel everything. My name is Emily Smith. I live in an abusive situation, my only way out. Anesthesia, love that word is just rolls of the tongue right to me. My dad is abusive to my mom, brother, and me. Out of the three main Anesthesia treatments I use the general anesthesia, to make my whole body numb. It's an addiction of mine to use it, I eat, sleep, and breath anesthesia.
