Lance and Leyla are not friends. They're not enemies. They're strangers with some memories.

After their breakup during freshman year, Lance and Leyla still love each other but endure the pain it comes with.

Being the captain of the lacrosse team, Lance Reynolds is well known around school. He strolls around the hallways with his girlfriend, Nicole Freemontt by side with interlocking fingers. Despair washed over him because he knows that she'll never forgive him for his horrendous mistake. But he loves Leyla, always has, always will.

For always being a 4.0 GPA student, Leyla Johnson is a shy but also a very outgoing girl. Due to her broken heart because of freshman year, she has picked up some bad habits throughout the years. Despair washed over her because she knows that he'll never come back to her. But she loves Lance, always has, always will.

What will happen when Lance finally decides to put his act back together? Will he be too late for a second chance? Or is he just on time for one?
