When Daniel meets Wednesday the first day, things are a little tense as he's the second new roommate for Enid. In fencing class, she meets her match with the English-born transfer student. So much so he becomes her second on the fencing team. It's not until he hears of a murder of a fellow student that his interest is piqued and he starts investigating only to cross paths with Wednesday during her investigation.
