She lived with her mother until she died when Katie was 6. She was then given over to her father, Tony, who is an alcoholic. Almost every night Tony forces Katie to go on the street and mug innocent people. Eventually she moves on from mugging to looting stores and museums. While doing that she meets a young hero. Dressed in red that goes by the name of Robin. Katie also manages to get into Gotham academy. One of the best schools in the country. There she meets a cocky little brat by the name of Dick Grayson. A Modern Joke
As an aspiring writer, it's difficult not to look at stories you love and wonder 'What if?' I have notice how the Joker's origin in The Killing Joke and the Joker movie (2019) both stories take place during the 1980s. But what if it took place today? That's what I try to answer! In this original work I explore how a complex character like the Joker could emerge and be influence by current social problems. It's a romantic, and specially mysterious short story that I wish one day could help me make it to DC as a comic book writer, and if I don't, at least I enjoyed writing it, and I hope you enjoy reading it! Though he wasn't much of a fighter, he'd always get beaten up when he tried to stand up for her and always tried to protect her from her abusive step mom and step brother since they treated her like shit after her dad's death. Though the night he left, he never came back. That was the night, his father took him away and trained him to become a mercenary. Then now, his ten year high school reunion was coming up and he was debating going. Though it would be nice to see how everyone turned out, including him. However, he soon realizes that he has no choice but to go back, somebody there is on his boss' hit list. It's Katie. Now he has to choose. Jade knight: Young justice fanfic (under editing!)
14 year old Jade Knight is the Jester, adopted daughter of The Joker and Harley Quinn. She's been with them since she was a young child but spent a few of those years training with assassins. She is meant to take over the role of being the Joker but to do so she has to kill Robin. Robin is guessed to attend Gotham Academy so Jade is sent there undercover as a new student but finding Robin is harder than it looks. She makes a friend called Dick Grayson and after a while he starts to make the things the Joker and Harley put into her head go away and she sort of changes and realises she doesn't actually want to be the Jester anymore. She finally tells Joker and Harley she doesn't want to be the bad guy anymore but they don't accept it and try to kill her. She's then saved by the league but when she wakes up Joker is gone and left a broadcast announcing that Jade was the Joker, the one thing she feared most of becoming and it breaks her making her loose what's left of her sanity. Nearly two years later she finds out that Dick didn't die and that he was under a new name, Nightwing. But will his return be enough to reverse her being the Joker or will she still stay insane?Complete
