JMW Turner was arguably our greatest landscape painter. He was eccentric and reclusive in later life. James Chalklin dreams of being a painter. A chance meeting leads him into Turner's decaying world, but who is the woman that covers her face to disguise a hideous disfigurement? As James begins to understand Turner, he begins to see that dreaming and hoping are not sufficient to turn his own life around.
