Alex Echo along with seven other students live a normal life in their underground fortress that protected them during World War III. Their home was Compound 55, a home of more than a thousand people.

But what happens when they are forced to risk their lives to save their own people? Well, that's exactly what happened once the scientists and doctors found radiation in their water.

With the help of those eight special students, they are taken to a world unknown by many. A world in which murder, cannibalism, and tyranny exists.

Their mission: Locate Compound 86, an abandoned bunker that has many supplies for Compound 55, but that compound is located in Liberty Island where Lady Liberty stands. That's all the way across the whole city.

But these students aren't the only ones after the vital supplies inside the compound. The cannibals, the tyrants, and the secret rebels are after the supplies inside.

The whole mission is turned upside down when Alex attempts to murder the tyrant President of NYC. She and her friends become wanted criminals with a giant reward for their death.

When faced with these challenges, Alex must go through the city of NYC with cannibals wanting her flesh, the tyrants wanting her dead, the rebels wanting her help, and the various creatures that lurk in the overgrown city that wants Alex all to themselves.

Death, love, enemies, and allies come to Alex as she ventures into the dangerous city. Will Alex and her friends return back safe and sound? Will they join the rebellion against the tyrants? Will they actually survive the outside world?
