I screwed up. I mean, really screwed up. I don't remember a time where I haven't screwed up, but this feels like I've gone past the point of no return. I've always thought that people wouldn't care. Wouldn't care if I suddenly dissappeared off the face of the earth. They wouldn't care if I was being beaten senseless on the ground. No one has ever cared, and I don't believe they ever will. Not really. Sometimes people just need a reminder. A reminder that they're worth it and that they're not alone. Some people just need a person they can trust. There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here.
