deep down everyone has secrets , deep down everyone is in pain. some people are just better at hiding it or feel like pain is okay. a girl who seems happy and a guy who can read her like a book pass ways just In this book. tears and joy ,cries and hugs. everything will be okay if she just would have one good luck. But that's not what she cared about, all she wanted was to run away from home, but that grip of her father won't leave her alone . Will he save her fast enough? Dan is suffering. Torn apart from the stress of his father and school, he tries to take his life. The feeling of freedom is foreign to him being forced into terrible school my his abusive father. Just before Dan is about to jump off a bridge, someone grabs his waist and holds him back. Dylan is just an ordinary boy. Nothing special about him. Average house, family, income. His only difference that separates him from society is one secret tearing him apart. Suicide affects Dylan more then most, so when he see a poor boy about to do it, instincts kick in and he saves Dan's life. Two broken boys struggling to find their place in life. Will they build each other up or break themselves even more?

People always say, 'There's no reason to be depressed.' or 'what do you have to be depressed about.' alot of the times its, 'you seem fine to me.' yes, I do seem fine, but I'm breaking underneath the surface. They don't see behind the mask we all hold up. 'Everyone gets these feelings.' yes they do, but some are worse than others, yet its pain nonetheless. They don't understand what goes through our minds when we do things they think is crazy, like cutting. They don't understand that when we look in a mirror, we hate what we see. Or when you cry yourself to sleep at night for reasons that are still unknown to you. Those feelings of sadness, loneliness, desperation, anxiety. Those fears of being abandoned by the ones you love the most, or being a burden because you're sharing your feelings. They don't understand..... But I do. This book is for all those people that feel even one of these. You are not alone. *TRIGGER WARNINGS*

This is my collection of random short stories and poems that I have written.

This is the story of an abused teenage girl, Maddie. Her need to die has become overwhelming and she is trying to find a way to help herself before she does something she may regret. The story is told from her point of view as she recalls all that has happened to her. Maybe telling her story will help her, maybe not. This isn't just any other sob story. This is more realistic. You may even find yourself comparing your life to Maddie's while reading this story. Disclosure: I wrote this as a 13-year-old and the writing is definitely not up to my current standards, but I feel as though changing what I have already written would take away from the emotion I put into this story at 13 years old. Here lie my thoughts in this book, why don't you stop and take a look. While you read the secrets written there, try to ignore the silent screams no one ever seems to hear. Reading this will take some time, but you might recover my heart, lost long ago, that was once mine.

This is for all of you who feel like the world hates you. Who takes a blade to their skin. Who looks them self in the mirror and criticizes themselves. Who is hurt on the outside. Who is broken on the inside. Who feel the need to stay strong and cry by themselves in the dark emptiness. Who feel like they have no one when they are surrounded by millions. Who are hit. Who are tortured. Who are hurt. Who weep. Who need a hug from someone once in a while to unload the hurt. The pain they carry within them coiled in the disaster and wretched awakening of their tears is more than we can measure. No one but them knows the feeling and the burden they carry.
