Margaret Maddox seemed like your average girl on the outside. Tight curls of chocolate brown hair down to the bottom of her rib cage, dark green almond shaped eyes a little to close together on a pale face splashed with tiny, pale freckles. Mediocre height, about 5'4" and horrible at singing and talking to people. Because she's a mute. She can't talk to anyone anymore, only through sign language. That's her outside appearance. On the inside she's torn up beyond repair. Her thighs, wrists, and ankles are covered with old and new scars and scabs. She comes home every day, does her homework and silently cries in the shower and decorates her body with new slashes. Just when she thought she was alone in her battle, five boys come into her life and maybe, just maybe, are able to turn it around. But, like I said, she's beyond repair...
