Alicia dreaded going to the prom alone but a stranger came knocking and gave her the prom of her life. “They are staring at us.” Alicia said. “Because you are beautiful.” Alonzo said. She blushed even more. “You are just saying that to make me feel better. I know they think we are an odd pair. I’m so plain compared to you.” Alonzo tipped her chin up to stare into her hazel eyes. “I am but an ordinary cat. If they cannot see real beauty as a cat can, then that is their fault not yours. I came to you and saw your heart. Now, I will give you what you want: the prom of your life.”

⚠⚠⚠be very careful. This book is mature and very, very strange. I can't explain it here, but be prepared for some weird shit⚠⚠⚠ I walked into the AA meeting, standing at the back of the room like always, silently hoping no one would make a big deal about my outfit. "Hey Niko!" Millie said, standing next to me. "Nice short shorts! You look amazing! And I'm loving your sweater!" "thanks." I mumbled, looking around. "Niko, look at that guy." she whispered, leaning in close and gesturing to an unfamiliar guy acrosd the room. "go talk to him." I stood there for a moment, in a bit of a daze as I admired his jet black hair and deep blue suit, the deep purple eyes nearly sucking me in. "I- I shouldn't. he'd think I'm weird." Millie pushed me across the room and I stumbled, losing my balance and falling right in front of him. I caught myself and sat there on my hands and knees for a moment, panicking slightly. "Hey, uh, are you okay?" someone asked. I slowly looked up and found the man looking down at me, confused. "I- I'm fine." I noticed my bag had opened and all my stuff had spilled all over the floor, scattered. I started picking it up and putting it away, shrieking when the guy knelt down to help. He smiled warmly at me and handed me my lipstick. "I'm Phoenix."
