When Kyle David Hall was little all he ever dreamed about was High school and how that in his first year he would be nothing but himself, he would NEVER fit in with the wrong crowed. Johnnie Guilbert has just moved from California to Ohio for his moms new job, in his old school he came out as gay, but johnnie knows not to make the same mistake twice. When Kyle meets Johnnie, a boy one year older than him (Johnnie's 16) will he have to break the promise he made as a little kid and hide his deepest secret or will he come out and tell everyone, and how will johnnie feel towards the boy. And will Kyle become so attached to the boy he tells him everything that's going on at home or will his problems be to much and Kyle ends his own life.
