This will be the genesis of Chaos,
When the Tree is plagued by death
And "hope" a word long forsaken.
So we must fight.
The World Tree: a symbol for unity, understanding, comradery and peace. The pure essence of life beats from within its stoic trunk. It flows through the bronze branches which hail the sky with a sheen of golden and crimson leaves. It is a true utopia. Pokémon from all regions bask in the World Tree's embrace as they forge new lives, protect each other, and rush to defend others all over the world.
The Black Pikachu doesn't care. Although he's lived a regrettable life, he was discontent when the Island Dragon told him to go. Now, he and his friends must work together to beat their own inner daemons, and become the saviors of the World Tree.
But the world is falling into chaos. The threat of war looms over their heads, and the long enjoyed peace is seemingly at an end. He, and the rest of the Ebony Angels, must fight to protect the World Tree from the devastation of war. But when Yggdrasil falls to chaos; when the bonds of trust are broken, and when the hands of fate work to assure its annihilation, can they really save the World Tree?
(Psst. You should read it... and Nintendo owns Pokémon, but I own these characters. Nobody sue me or take my story... please.)

That's all Avis wishes for, because it's nearly impossible to find any semblance of peace in this midst of war and chaos. To him, that's staying alone; staying out of others' business, and for the first seventeen years of his life, he's done that pretty well. § Avis can only hide in the shadow of his twin brother's strength, stranded in a country ravaged by war and destruction--and he tries to live his life in the darkness peacefully. He doesn't need to be noticed by everyone. The illusion of a functional, ideal life, however, is shattered when his family's balance is destroyed, and he thus dons his first mask. § For all his life, Avis had been taught that disaster was bad.
