There are things in life that shouldn't be announced. Ideas that shouldn't be expressed. Thoughts and actions that shall remain a figment of imagination forever. Harsh words that mustn't be spoken aloud.
Then there are the things that are difficult to turn into words. Feelings that we are afraid to say aloud, because that makes them real.
Usually, we can find the strength, muster up the courage, and be brave enough to voice these opinions.
That's not what this story is about.
This story is for the people who cannot utter the simplest greeting. The ones who are paralyzed the second they open their mouths. The ones who are controlled by the constant fear that dwells in the darkest corner of their minds.
This book is for the selectively mute. This book is for the people standing behind them, trying to understand when they just can't. The families and friends who are trying their absolute best when all they can truly do is hope for an answer. This book is for those who want to learn.
