Mikoto Ayaka, the strongest female in the soul society, and is the captain of squad 14. She is childhood friends with the captain of squad 10,Toshiro Hitsugaya. She is the first to confront Toshiro without being afraid of his white hair and turquoise eyes. They became close and Toshiro develops feelings for the oblivious girl. After 10 years, she comes back from her mission and the head captain summons her to the captains meeting. There she reunites with Toshiro and joins the battle to fight against the arrancars.
