Princess Elara Aviella Monteya wants only to experience life outside of the secure walls of her palace home. While wandering the city disguised as a maid Elara is kidnapped by foreign raiders. She wakes up on a ship headed for Adavia, surrounded by other young women with no clear memories of her former life. Her companions tell her she is a maid named Eyla, turning her disguise into her new reality. Before reaching Adavia it is revealed that the women were taken as brides for the men aboard. Elara, now Eyla, finds herself married to a young merchant and sailor named Noah Marchand.
Noah Marchand expected to return from his journey across the sea with new stories and a few foreign trinkets, he never expected to return home with a wife. Noah has been striving to rebuild the family name tarnished by his misspent youth and a strategic marriage seemed like the perfect solution. Instead, he finds himself married to a woman from a land most of his peers consider savage.
This arrangement is far from what either ever expected in their lives, but it could prove to be exactly what they needed.

"This marriage is nothing but an alliance to me. Don't expect anything else, because you won't get it. I will never love you." "It felt as if my parents had tied me to the throne. Tied me to him." - A princess and a prince, forced into a marriage they both despise. They can't stand each other... at least, that's what they tell themselves. But as their lives collide in unexpected ways, something begins to change. With their world falling apart-death, destruction, and chaos everywhere-they find themselves drawing closer, even as everything else crumbles. Can love survive in the middle of all this heartbreak? Can they save each other, or will it all be too much? Original Characters Enemies to lovers Royal au
