The Giant War is won, and everyone has gathered (including a few Roman ambassadors, part of a new program to promote peace between the camps) at Camp Half-Blood for the fireworks show. The only drawback? Leo isn't here to celebrate with them.
Percy and Annabeth are incredibly happy. They survived a second war, they've got time together, and are planning for college in New Rome.
Jason and Piper are doing okay. Aside from the still-lingering sadness of having lost Leo, the two of them are going strong, and Thalia has accepted Piper into the family.
Hazel and Frank missed their friends. They came to Camp Half-Blood, though, for a Fourth of July visit.
Nico and Will are finally together. After meddling from the Aphrodite cabin, they (somewhat begrudgingly) admitted their feelings.

It's been just over a year since the end of the Giant War. Percy and Annabeth have completed high school and are preparing to move to New Rome to continue their lives. Jason and Piper are still going strong, even though Jason has been moving between the camps constantly. Frank and Hazel are still in the legion at Camp Jupiter, but Reyna is planning to give them permission to move into the mortal world to go to high school. Leo returned with Calypso just after the Giant War ended. They've been living at Camp the whole year. But the gods still have more twists and turns planned for the demigods. When the girls discover a major secret which could change the face of the demigod world, soon it's up to the Seven (and Calypso) to prepare for another great prophecy which will turn the tides of their lives. But can secrets stay secret? And how is the new prophecy tied to a problem the gods have been handling for hundreds of years? *This is more of a prequel story to Lies and Truth. Percy was still too far away to hear, to know what was happening, and likely he wouldn't care. Annabeth's breath caught in her throat and the crowd faded, the voices just white noise. There was only Percy, his hair shaggy and swept to the side, his mouth drawn up in his troublemaker smile. Her body ached to return to him, he was so close. But if she was right, that would be a deadly mistake. Annabeth turned back to Jason. "You sold us out didn't you." "There's only one way to end the schism, Annabeth," Jason said. His remaining eye gleamed. "The Greeks must be wiped out." Reyna raised her hand. "Seize them." "Jason!" Piper cried as two legionaries grabbed her arms. "How could you!" Annabeth grit her teeth but didn't struggle. They couldn't win this fight. And the worst part? She totally saw it coming. This is an au where Jason turns the Greeks over to the Romans instead of cooperating, and the resulting conflict ensues. Can the Greeks and Romans work together? Calypso is summoned to Olympus, and is required to work for Hermes for two months as payment for her freedom, though that job comes with constantly being busy, so Leo can help but feel lonely. Even his friends had become too busy, Percy and Annabeth were busy with online school which they have been able to do from camp, Piper and Jason had become too lovey dovey (as Leo said) and Leo just felt like a third wheel. He couldn't iris message Frank to annoy him, since his job as Praetor kept him busy, and he tried to spend whatever free time he had with Hazel. speaking of Hazel, Leo couldn't speak with her either since she was either helping Frank with Praeter stuff, hanging out with Frank or kissing Frank.
