Hades got me out of Algebra, which is a big deal. It does my head in. But, he kidnapped me and took me to the Underworld all because Persephone has faded away.

And he's making me love him. After meeting gods and goddesses, finding my parents were dead then not dead, and Aphrodite, the goddess of love casting a spell over me, it turns out he's making me love him.

So, naturally, I want freedom. Is that too much to ask?

What if mythology isn't a myth? Callie Prescott has the rest of her life planned out: get into med school, become a heart surgeon, and heal the world. But when her long-lost mom reappears and she learns the truth about who she really is, Callie must give up everything - her dreams, her dad, and her future - to be the wife of Hades, the God of the Underworld. Callie is surprised to find that her new kingdom isn't what she imagined, and neither are those who call it home. Callie wants to be bitter, but she cannot understand why this man - this god - sparks a desire in her that she has never felt before. But all is not well in the Underworld. Someone is after Hades' throne, and they want to open Tartarus once and for all. Callie and her new husband must travel between the Underworld, Earth, and Olympus to gain help from some larger-than-life gods and fix everything before it's too late. The balance of life and death depends on it. Can Callie fulfill her destiny, or is she just tempting the Fates? *BOOK ONE in the Tempting the Fates series* ----- 🥇 #1 in "Goddess" - 12/31/2021 🥇 #1 in "Persephone" - 7/30/2021 🥇 #1 in "Aphrodite" - 10/2/2020 🥇 #1 in "Eros" - 7/14/2021 🥇 #1 in "Greek" - 12/31/2021 🥇 #1 in "Mythology" - 4/6/2022 🥇 #1 in "Hades" - 4/6/2022 ----- TW/CW: violence, death, language, sexual content. "Kiss me." He whispers. "I-I don't know how...I've never done this before." I frantically whisper and tilt my head. My nose slightly brushes against his, and all of my instincts tell me to dive into him with the most passionate kiss I could create. I wanted to be closer, and feel every part of him against me. "Can I kiss you?" He asks through an intoxicating whisper. His lips teasingly hover over mine, and without thinking I finally press my lips against his. His lips matched mine perfectly like a puzzle, and I wrap my arms around his neck to pull him closer. His hands trail up my back, and the euphoric bursts of pleasure take my senses into over drive. He starts to part his lips, and his tongue slowly enters through my lips to play with mine. He tastes of sweet wine, and I feel my hands sliding up to grip his hair. I let out a slight moan into his lips, and my breath grows heavy. We part for a gasp of air before meeting back with more of my muffled moans. A faint thud-like sound catches my attention, and I start to pull away to see what made the sound. My lips retreat, and I take a faint breath before clearing my mind to think logically. As I pull away, his lips simply continue to kiss my chin and down my cheek. Another gasp slips from my lips, and this one echos through the hall. "I..I think...I...I heard something." I whisper as quietly as possible. He lightly pulls away to take a small breath before smiling. "I didn't hear anything. It's nothing." He pushes aside.... During the ancient times of Greece, lives the daughter of Demeter, Persephone. All her life has been sheltered from the mortal and immortal world. When her desire for a taste of freedom goes too far, she seals a deal with a man she will never escape... Enjoy this retelling of the Greek myth of Hades and Persephone! This is one of my favorite Greeks myths, and comment if you have any feedback! I'd love to hear from you 🖤
