The Fallen

The darkness was consuming her. That was imminent. And it wasn't that Kenzie could only see it happening right in front of her, rendering her helpless, but she could feel it too. Every ounce...every shred of light that was once part of her essence was leaving her body. And she couldn’t even do anything about it. All she could do was watch. She watched as the light fled from her body, leaving her in utter darkness.

There was no more hope...no more faith...nothing left to believe in...nothing left to live for...until she chose to grab onto the light and hold on tight. She wasn't ready to give up yet and there was no way she was about to go down without a fight. She wasn't afraid of the Overtakers, or the Nobodies, or even the Impurities, because she knew the Darkness was nothing to be afraid of...it was the Darkness, and those who were consumed by Darkness, who should be afraid of her...
