{Set in Summer 2015}

Rory Elison is a normal, geeky, unsocial, not-so-normal-after-all, fangirling 14 year old girl with a habit of only hanging around one friend, Asher Dorin. With dark brown hair, gray eyes, a slim body, and nearly no muscle she's not the most noticeable person in the world.

Rory finds herself caught when she finds out her dad's cheating. Rory is soon infuriated at her parents for ruining what she thought would be the best summer ever. When she tells Asher he decides not to let the divorce ruin their perfect summer by doing little things like bringing her Chinese take-out, and watching The Princess Bride - her favorite movie - a thousand times.

Just when things look up, God presses the big red NOPE button and messes it all up. I guess the perfect summer can't really exist.
