I wrote this poem and submitted it for a poetry competition in January. I found out a couple weeks ago that they decided to pass on my submission. At first I was upset but I think I was more disappointed in my self I felt like I failed myself. I also felt weak. Then it hit me this was the first time in my life that I've ever seen something all the way through and that was a win in itself. I came up with a idea to write a silent short with this poem being narrated. I'm currently talking to a film production company but I haven't secured anything just yet. I still want to release this poem. It's a personal poem, my soul cried in this piece. I hope you enjoy, also I apologize for this long intro. Please leave comments I look forward to hearing feedback. If the production company doesn't want to move forward with this project I'll probably turn it into a story with a bunch of chapters, either way I'll create something worth your time. XOXO Da ArtGod. This is my first attempt at writing a longer story.
