This time it's not just a phase. It's a mental illness. It can't be escaped, except by one way, the only way Sydney thought she could get out of it. Suicide. She didn't think she could continue life any longer. Her parents, friends, dropping grades, just everything is a factor. She attempts at suicide, but whether she lives or dies is in her hands. Sydney tries to go through with it, but her parents catch her halfway dead and check her into a mental institution where she meets Dylan Willcomb. Immediately the two felt comfortable with each other, and in the future more feelings develop.
