Set in the year 2005 in the projects of Harlem, Ny. A Deeper Love In Him is the story of Joel Ray (J.R.) A subtle eleven year old Harlem native who's dreams is of finding his true potential in life. Along his journey he meets Marlo, a no good boxer who takes him under his wing and shows him the ropes inside of the ring as well as the outside (the drug game) Joel quickly learns how to weave a jab and move large keys of cocaine. He would do anything to keep his spot beside Marlo. Joel's world is turned upside down on his 18th birthday when he walks into Marlo's apartment only to find him shot and killed along with a letter from some familiar people. Joel knows exactly who they are but there's no time for dwelling... He has some revenge to plot.

Arvonti~fucked up kid with a comorbid IED. He was blunt, sarcastic, and remorseless. But if you really stopped to care you'd see he was hurt and had a big heart. Somehow something always lead back to Arvonti, he was trouble. But Messiah didn't see that, she seen him for him and that was why he fell for her. All his life he wanted someone that understood, that would be right there and she was. Even though he puts her through hell, they can't help there feelings for each other. But love, and drugs was not the only plot to their story, they were tied down with Arvonti's family drama that somehow invloved Messiah's family. This all ties to one question, does Arvonti has what it takes to take over the family cartel? This book is full of drama, shade, violence, and plot twist.
