Melanie Jenkins is the average high school student who already knows what she wants to do with the rest of her life. She has it all planned out...that is, if she can make it onto the writing staff of her high school's newspaper. In order to do that, she must break down all the emotional walls she has set up around herself to write the best story of her life and, in the process, find herself.
