The dead never really died. Not really. Our brains continue to work forever, but the signals aren't strong enough to get us to do anything. Only a few can break through the barrier - these people come back as ghosts. They aren't meant to disrupt the human world. But there's a boy who wants to change that. He has the power to make a change, so he sets out to contact the human world. At first it seems impossible, but slowly he's able to gain strength and reach out to someone. Someone ordinary, someone he never even knew; and they have the fate of the world on their shoulders.
