In a world with fey, dragons and magic, orphaned human Vivien doesn't feel important in the world, and doesn't need to. Right now she just has to look after her twin brother Vincent and somehow survive the streets and find food to fill to live. But one day when a rare fey man comes and takes her and her brother away and claims that she is one of the seven legendary Guardians, Vivien is suddenly forced to take upon the burden of thousands of other people's hopes. She and the other six must learn how to defeat the tyrannical Xenagoras before he finds them and kills them himself.
